Melrose produces labels and signs for: 1) point of purchase advertising, 2) industrial equipment, and 3) consumer products. Melrose has the mentality and process capability to produce short runs of labels for these uses in as little as 24 hours when required.
Our point of purchase advertising labels and signs include:
- Large Format Labels and Signs for store displays, video arcade games, and outdoor use. Melrose prints full color artwork using screen printing technology to 46”x84”, with digital printing technology to 60”x unlimited length, and with lithography to 28”x40”.
- Smaller Format Labels and Signs for point of purchase advertising. These include static cling labels for use on windows, labels with removable adhesive, store shelf channel markers, ceiling danglers, and rigid window signs.
- Backlit Panels for use in light boxes in quantities ranging from a single piece to many thousand.
- Speciality Point of Purchase Items (link) Melrose can produce point of purchase items from heavy plastic and metal materials. This capability is due to our ability to print, and etch images on virtually any plastic or metal material (plastic, metal, etc) coupled with our ability to fabricate all of these materials
Melrose has a diverse point of purchase processing and materials capability. These include virtually all printing and fabricating technologies, and materials associated with point of purchase label and signage applications.
Melrose prints large signage and labels on pressure sensitive vinyl, static cling vinyl, acrylic, polycarbonate, styrene, PETG, expanded PVC, calendared vinyl, polyester scuff resistant vinyl, polypropylene, coated paper board, aluminum and stainless steel.
Our point of purchase printing processes include digital ink jet, digital dry toner, flexography, screen printing, and lithography.
Melrose has the ability to die-cut (digitally or with tools) all of these materials in virtually any thickness
Melrose produces thin labels on aluminum, polyester and vinyl for industrial equipment for:
- Caution, safety rating and identification purposes on electrical, electronic equipment, and mechanical machinery
- bar coded or consecutively numbered.
- tamper evident and destructible label constructions
- A urethane encapsulate can be added to create a 3 dimensional domed label (link).
- With Underwriters Lab recognition (UL 969 standard). This recognition is often required for critical safety labels on industrial equipment. Melrose has 17 label constructions (including pressure sensitive polyester, vinyl, aluminum, polycarbonate materials) recognized by Underwriter’s Laboratories.
Our consumer products labels are most frequently used in cosmetics, vitamin supplements, and food packaging applications. Labels for these markets are frequently printed full color. When moisture is expected to be encountered in use we recommend Kimdura or vinyl with an overlamination. Pressure sensitive paper with a clear coat give excellent results more economically, when moisture and heavy wear are not a concern.
