Job Responsibilities
- Issue purchase orders and build relationships with key suppliers
- Ensure that orders received are accurate and goods received are not damaged
- Work with all areas of the business to provide solutions in a timely manner
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of key materials and components, employing strategic decision-making to support the business and current needs
- Build awareness of industry and market trends, provide guidance to the Melrose team
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify the best resources (cost, quality, lead time) for materials and components
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best value for the Melrose organization
Qualifications
- High school degree minimum
- Experience working in purchasing/procurement role is preferred, but entry-level candidates welcomed
- Good math and computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal and social skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Able to lift, carry and move a minimum of 25lbs
