    Melrose Nameplate & Label, a custom manufacturer in Hayward CA is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team. We are a printing and fabrication company with an 80+ year history of bringing custom engineered solutions to our clients. The ideal candidate will love learning, collaborating, and driving results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Issue purchase orders and build relationships with key suppliers
    • Ensure that orders received are accurate and goods received are not damaged
    • Work with all areas of the business to provide solutions in a timely manner
    • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of key materials and components, employing strategic decision-making to support the business and current needs
    • Build awareness of industry and market trends, provide guidance to the Melrose team
    • Conduct competitive analysis to identify the best resources (cost, quality, lead time) for materials and components
    • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best value for the Melrose organization

    Qualifications

    • High school degree minimum
    • Experience working in purchasing/procurement role is preferred, but entry-level candidates welcomed
    • Good math and computer skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and social skills
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Positive and professional demeanor
    • Able to lift, carry and move a minimum of 25lbs
